My own personal Caribbean rendition inspired by two of my West African favourites... GOAT MEAT and OKRA SOUP.
And yes, I prepared it all myself... even the sorrel which I brewed a day or two ago.
From left to right (clockwise):
Sweet potato. (This is a rare yellow-skinned variety with an even rarer deep orange colour. Most yellow skinned ones have a pale yellow colour. Usually we buy the ordinary red-skinned ones which are white when peeled.)
Sorrel. (Known as bissap in West Africa.)
Goat meat and okra stew.
